VHS, Cassette Tape & Video Tape Art

While considering what recycled materials I could use for the recycled brief my mum and dad were re-decorating the living room and one cabinet was full of old disney videos tapes that were off to the skip, so I decided to rescue them.
While looking for inspiration to create art from video tapes I online came acrosshttp://inspirationgreen.com/vhs-tape-reuse.htmlThis website is a collection of artists who use video tape and other unusual materials to make their art such as:

Zilvinas Kempinas - ColumnsMade from stretched video tape over plywood to create columns that are the same at every angle however look more transparent in the middle.

Williams Anastasi - Beethoven's Fifth SymphonyThis piece is created using a recording of Beethoven's Symphony on tape, it reminded me of art piece made by a past student that I have see in college made from fabric rather then draping tape.
